Google Coffeine is really fast!

By shpyo  //  Optimization, Ranking Factors  //  No Comments

I’ve discoved this only by luck :). Yea, I know how that sounds, but this discover is very interesting.

All I wanted to to was change my title on my polish seo blog. So I’ve changed this a few minutes before midnight (to be more seo friendly – only important keywords). Next day, around 10 a.m. I almost hit the ground. It was amaizing! Only 10 hours to change my title in SERPs! Usually this happen around 3 or 5 days.

When I was changing my title I did not sent any pings or something like that. Changed only title.

When I publish this on my blog, some guys told me that they were indexed and changed in SEPRs much faster that I did. Just 2 or 4 hours.

Why does it happend so fast? I think, this depends on domain strenght (authority). Factors like: PR, links, etc.

New rank factor: site speed

By shpyo  //  Optimization, Ranking Factors  //  No Comments

Matt McGee mentioned about news from Google. Google announced that there is a new factor which has influence on your website rank. Of course Matt Cutts says that importance is not quite high, but with my experience I can: this is a bull shit.

Honestly this will be very important factor. Why?

Users like very much fast pages. Really. Page speed is very important on ecommerce. For example if your online shop is loading, loading and loading your potential client will treat you for your competitor. Even more, if your clients somehow stay on your slow site, there is a very big possibility that faster or later will leave your page. This is one of the biggest issue connected with bounce rate.

Rumors say that this factor is already in use. In my opinion, site speed will be noticeable on really hardcore keywords where everyone uses blackhat seo.

In next post I will show, what you should do with your site to make it faster.
