Polish team won Italian SEO contest!

It’s very good news! Polish team won Italian SEO contest! Grats for my friends and all Italian friends :). It was very interesting challange. Both sides (I hope) – Polish and Italian – learn something, start testing new ways to be ranked well.

The contest keyword was Instantempo.

Another think that should be told, Polish team decided to take away all awards for Italian charity! Well done!

PageRank is still powerful!

Some time ago I’ve bought link on page with PageRank=6 :). It cost me 160zł (polish zloty) around ~$53. Is this much? I don’t know what stakes are in US or somewhere else, but here in Poland it’s pretty much. Many times, Google tells that PR is not important factor to be well ranked in SERPs. I wanted to test it.

I was supprised at the end of my test.

About my site. It’s connected with royal estate, similar to craiglist. You can put here announcement that you got some flat, room or house for rent. For this time I was concentrating for catalogues and some presell pages. My anhor was “stancje warszawa” (I’ve just changed design!). Before the test my was was around 10 and 14 position.

About PR=6. Link was on that site for ~30 days, only on main page (1 site) with PR=6 – telegazeta.tv.pl. When I started test, on that page was 6 external links (71 all links – 8%). After that, number increased to 13 (16%). The final number of external links was 36 linków (35% of all)! In the meantime page lost PageRank from 6 to 4!

After the 30 days I’ve jumped to the 5th position! Pretty nice result when link was only one page :P

How to steal PageRank

Have you ever dreamt about high PageRank? Yes you have. Today I will show the easiest way to get your PageRank high. Some time ago in Poland were plague of unfair seller that offers domains or links with high PR. If you are PRO SEO you know how to check this magic “green value”. Ever if don’t know how to do it, the price for this service should be weird (why so cheap?!).

How to steal get high PageRank?

This is piece of cake. All you need is to create a 301 redirect to googlebot. You can do is as follows:

With this redirect, you tell Google that your page has been moved to another URL. Traffic, URLs go to the new one. Everything go new domain, everything except PR. If you wait some time you will notice that your domain got new Page Rank :). Easy, rigth?

Of course this “new” Page Rank has no special powers with SEO point of view. If you put on your domain some content, you lose high “green value”.

This redirection can be made in other way e.g. .htaccess rewrite rule or HTML meta redirect. Effect will be the same.
